3)      Application Processing

a)      Once you have completed both steps 1 & 2, come to the Hanover Police Station and ask for a Firearms Officer after 4pm.  Make sure you bring your receipts and safety certificate; otherwise your application will not be processed.  Fingerprinting will be conducted for all new firearms applicants.  Licenses take approximately 4-6 weeks to come in.

b)      Please call 781-826-3231 after a month has lapsed and ask the dispatcher if your license is in. If you receive confirmation that your license is ready, you must come to the station for your license to be issued in hand by a Firearms Officer.

c)      ALL licenses must be picked up within two months time.  All licenses not picked up within the time allotment, will be returned to the Firearms Licensing Board and destroyed resulting in loss of fee and application.
